100 books, a celebration of 3 years hard work

Posted: Updated:

Today is a day for celebrating nearly three years of hard work at the Scottsbluff Public Library.

Librarians Nancy Escamilla and Deb Carlson had a dream, to have a list of 100 best books that they thought would be great for every child to read.   So they contacted businesses around the area to help them pay for all the books.

Each book has three copies and brochures were passed out, to check each book off the list.  Once somebody has read all 100, the library will give them a yard sign or bumper sticker signifying the milestone.

To get your kids started on the quest, visit the public library and check out the 100 book wall.
