An Iowa coupled caught speeding on Interstate 80 are facing a lot more than a speeding ticket.
State Trooper Ron Kissler pulled over 20-year old Benjamin Schneider and 30-year old Jessica Carroll for speeding. The trooper immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Further search of the vehicle led to the discovery of three-point-four pounds of marijuana, and one ounce of hashish.
Both were arrested and face four felony charges:
Charge 1: Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute
Charge 2: Possession of Hashish with intent to distribute
Charge 3: Possession of Marijuana, over one pound.
Charge 4: No drug tax stamps
Cheyenne County Paul Schaub expects the duo to make their first court appearance sometime this week.
