Second teen from Wyoming crash dies Thursday afternoon

Two Scottsbluff women are dead and 4 others are injured after a crash just west of the Wyoming/ Nebraska State Line.

The accident happened at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday night.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says that 18-year-old passenger Alexis Wheeler of Scottsbluff died after the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a drainage ditch.

19-year-olds Hallie Anderson of Scottsbluff and Tyler Hill of Lyman, were both ejected from the vehicle. They were transported by AirLink to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. They are both listed in critical condition.

Nearly 12 hours later, Anderson died as a result of the injuries.

Excessive speeds and alcohol usage are being investigated as possible factors in this accident.

The driver, 22-year-old Ethan Kaufman of Cheyenne and passengers 23-year-old Stetson Allen and James Burford, both of Morrill were all transported by ambulance to Community Hospital in Torrington.

Nobody in the vehicle was wearing there seatbelt.
