Icy roads caused many motorists across the panhandle to get into accidents today.
69-year-old Judith Widener of Bayard lost control of her vehicle and landed upside down in a ditch on Highway 26.
Bayard Volunteer Ambulance and the Nebraska State Patrol responded, and fortunately Widener was okay.
But with a winter weather advisory warning in effect for the entire panhandle, Trooper Jeff Wallace says drivers need to exercise caution while driving.
"It's extremely icy out here tonight, and the winds are blowing its starting to drift," explains Wallace. "So people need to slow down and of course always wear their seatbelt when they're driving."
Roads are expected to be very slick tonight... with temperatures dropping down to the single digits.
