Posted: Updated:

Nebraska farmers and ranchers could receive financial and technical benefits by joining a new program.

Nebraska farmers and ranchers are being asked to sign up for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program.

The program is through the U.S. Agriculture Department's Natural Resources Conservation Service.

It provides financial and technical help with conservation practices on agricultural land.

The program's goal is to help landowners protect their natural resources for cleaner air, water and more wildlife habitat.

The deadline to sign up is February 15th.

Applications are available at conservation service field offices.
