Posted: Updated:

A Scottsbluff man is facing felony charges after stabbing a man in the neck Sunday night.

Scottsbluff Police were dispatched to Precision Cycle on West Railway around 6:30 p.m. yesterday in reference to a stabbing that had just taken place.

When officers arrived, victim Jason Lewison was pointing a gun at the suspect, 39-year-old Herman Torres.

Lewison was in the process of selling his vehicle to Torres, but had not gotten insurance on it. Lewison found out that Torres was driving it around while intoxicated, and called and demanded that the vehicle be returned until insurance was put on it. When Torres arrived, he began yelling at Lewison and said he was going to kill him.

At this point a fight broke out, and Torres removed a knife and stabbed Lewison in the neck.

Jason then called his wife to help, and was instructed to grab the gun from inside of the vehicle. Lewison got the gun and then pointed the firearm at Torres.

Police arrived and arrest Torres, and charged with 2nd degree aggravated assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

There is no court listing for Torres at this time.
