The jury is currently deciding the fate of a registered sex offender accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl this past August.
52-year-old Timothy Fuentes of Scottsbluff is charged with one count of sexual assault of a child.
The jury heard two days worth of testimony from 16 different witnesses… including the victim.
Fuentes is already a registered sex offender after being convicted in Scotts Bluff County in 2007.
A verdict is expected to be returned sometime this afternoon.
Judge Randy Lippstreu would have to set a sentencing date for sometime later this year if Fuentes is found guilty. Fuentes will face a maximum of 50 years in prison with a minimum of five years imprisonment if convicted.
