Golf cart ordinance passed in Gering

Golf carts are now allowed on some Gering city roads.

Gering City Council passed a golf cart ordinance, which allows golf cart vehicles on roads adjacent to the Monument Shadows golf course.

This means you can drive your cart on city roads West of Highway 71.

There are restrictions however, you'll have to have a class "O" Operators License and liability insurance for the golf cart.

Mayor Ed Mayo says law enforcement was notified this morning.

Mayor Mayo says if you don't follow the regulations you could be fined.
