An area school district could soon have new leadership.
The Gering School Board began the interview process today in the search for a new Superintendent.
The final four candidates are Travis Miller, the current Bayard Superintendent, Robert Porter, the Wallace Superintendent, Troy Unzicker, the current Kimball Superintendent and Bob Hastings, a former Scottsbluff Principal.
Betty Smith, a member of the School Board Committee, says all of the candidates have something unique to offer.
"I just know one of them personally and the other three I do not. So I'm really anxious for the interviews and hopeful that we're going to find an outstanding leader for the Gering School District."
Smith says a committee will interviews the candidates and will make its final decision next week.
