A rise in one type of class has officials at WNCC excited about the future.
Online classes at the college have tripled and interest is continuing to increase. Vice President of Educational Services Terry Gaalswyk says that currently the college offers fifteen online programs but are looking to expand in the next few years.
He says that some of the most popular courses are related to business but general studies classes are also on the rise. He says the faculty are the hallmarks of the classes and that the feedback from students has been encouraging.
"It provided them an opportunity to take college classes at convenient times without sacrificing access to quality faculty and quality courses," says Gaalswyk.
Gaalswyk says through the online courses WNCC is able to reach the entire panhandle.
