Many pharmacies are running out of over the counter medication, as the flu continues to take its toll on the nation.
Team members at Target in Scottsbluff say the flu has left its mark on empty shelves.
But they say they have plenty of stock available.
According to Nielson, sales in the cold–flu category have increased 40 percent.
But Team Leader Josh McCromick says Target is prepared for all the effects of the flu season.
"Definitely for the flu season, Target we always see an influx in those products but we definitely have a great inventory system so that in most cases we're able to handle our guests needs."
McCormick says he expects the flu season to continue here in the Panhandle, but doesn't expect the store to run out of products.
