U.S. Senator Mike Johanns is ready to start working on a creating a new budget.
The Republican says that one of the best ways to fix our economy- and begin the process of creating more jobs- is to pass a budget.
Johanns says Senate Majority Leaders over the past four years have failed to do that.
He is pleased that after a push from the House of Representatives, majority leaders will finally have to do one of the most basic functions of the U.S. Senate.
"I'm somewhat encouraged these days because I see leadership people on the majority side finally after all these years, saying that budget resolution will be brought forward," says Johanns.
Johanns hopes that a budget discussions happen quickly, and is willing to do whatever it takes to pass a new budget.
