Experts say Nebraskans should expect and prepare for another dry summer.
State Climatologist Al Dutcher estimates Nebraska has a 70% chance of having another year of drought.
Dutcher says it would take more than 8-10 inches of precipitation to pull the state out of a drought.
Jim Schild, an Extension Educator for the University of Nebraska Lincoln, says farmers are doing all they can.
"So, they're taking the steps it's just it'd be nice if mother nature helps out here a little bit and you know, we get more of a normal year."
