Alliance man pleads not guilty to arson charges

A KOTA Territory man is accused of setting his home on fire.

40 year old Isaac Gonzalez is accused of setting a fire in the basement of a house he was renting in Alliance.

Alliance officials pulled Gonzalez out of the home through a window.

Afterwards he was hospitalized in Scottsbluff.

A month after his hospital release he surrendered to police, but is free on bond.

Gonzalez has pleaded not guilty to the arson charge.

The class three charge carries a 20 year maximum prison term.

Gonzalez will be back in court April first.

The fire damage to the house cost $100,000.
