Gering Public Schools will see a new face as their leader.

The Board of Education for Gering Public Schools announced their new Superintendent.

Out of an interviewing pool of four candidates, Mr. Bob Hastings has been hired as the new Superintendent.

Mr. Hastings is the Director of Teaching and Learning at Norfolk Public Schools, and used to be a teacher and principal at Scots Public Schools.

Hastings has a there year contract which will start July 1st.

Mr. Hastings will be bringing his family with him to Scottsbluff.
