Oregon man gets 1 to 3 years for September incident in Potter

An Oregon man will be spending the next one–to– three years in prison for his involvement in a fight that took place in Potter in September.

41–year–old Eric LeBeau was sentenced to 12 – to – 36 months imprisonment on a charge of ‘Attempted possession of a knife by a prohibited person" on Monday in Cheyenne County District Court.

LeBeau was involved in an assault in Potter, and when law enforcement officers apprehended him, they found several knives in his vehicle.

LeBeau is a convicted felon, and isn't allowed to be in possession of deadly weapons, including knives.

Charges of third degree assault and carrying a concealed weapon were dropped during court proceedings.
