A jury finds a Gering man guilty on all eleven charges from a September incident that involved threatening people with a gun.
It took a jury approximately 90 minutes to render guilty verdicts on five counts of "Use of a weapon to commit a felony", five counts of "Making terroristic threats," and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Witnesses in the three day trial say Camacho was driving around Scottsbluff with a loaded gun, threatening to kill his victims. Camacho testified that he and his friends were driving around drinking beer and tequila after he got off work, but never pointed a gun at anyone.
Prosecuting Attorney Doug Warner is thankful that a dangerous convicted felon is going back to prison for a long time.
"And the testimony here, even from his own admission, he was drinking tequila and beer for 4 hours," explains Warner. "So you get a felon and one that was drinking like that, pointing guns at people's faces. It's a serious thing."
Sentencing has been scheduled for March 15th, and under state law, Camacho will face a *minimum* of 28 – years in prison.
