Three Scottsbluff contributors were honored at the annual Chamber Dinner last night.
"From Heels to Hammers" event signified the change in leadership atop the Gering chamber.
Bill Trumbull will take over for Chamber President Becky Zwickl.
The three members of the community received awards at the banquet for their community service and efforts in making the area better. They include Katie Camacho, Dr. Sam Mark and Dr. George Schlathauer.
The Chamber's outgoing President says the rising star award is especially important because it introduces somebody relatively new to the community.
"It helps them get acquainted to the community to see there great efforts so that one especially is really important but for people to be recognized for their efforts, these are all volunteers, so that's so important," says Zwickl.
