It was a busy Saturday night for Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol.
On Saturday night, Trooper Hunter with the N.S.P. initiated a traffic stop at the Wildcat Nature Center after the driver failed to use a turn signal.
Trooper Hunter detected the smell of marijuana emitting from the pickup, and noticed approximately 5 grams on the middle console.
Passenger 25-year-old Nicole Lynn Clark said that it was hers, as well "a lot of weed and hash" in a backpack. The trooper found 4 zip-lock bags of high grade marijuana and 24 individual plastic containers of hash. Hunter also found 2 more plastic containers with hash and a marijuana pipe in Clark's purse.
She was arrested and charged with Possession of marijuana more than 1 oz, less than a pound; possession with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
45 minutes later, Sgt. Krzyzanowski noticed a car make a U-Turn on Highway 71 near Highway 88. Sgt. Krzyzanowski contacted driver John Bookman and immediately smelled marijuana.
Bookman handed the Sergeant a pipe and a glass bottle containing marijuana. Krzyzanowski then searched the vehicle and located a glass meth pipe and a small Ziploc container containing a white powder, that tested positive for Methamphetamine.
Bookman was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than 1 oz, possession of drug paraphernalia, and several driving infractions.
