The search for the Scottsbluff's new assistant city manager is narrowing down.
City Manager Rick Kuckkahn says six finalists were selected from a field of 13 applicants for the newly created position.
The six all had phone interviews, but only three will make the cut for a face-to-face interview.
Kuckkahn says the applicants varied, but there was a handful of great candidates. "I will say that 13 may sound kind of low, but we have some really good quality people in that mix."
The Assistant City Manager will be groomed to take over as city manager when Kuckkahn retires.
