Congressman Smith encouraging entries in art contest

Congressman Adrian Smith is encouraging high school students from the Panhandle to submit artwork for the 2013 Congressional Art Competition.

The Nebraska Art Teachers Association is working with Smith to coordinate the competition.

The first place recipient's artwork will be displayed at the US Capital in Washington DC.

Smith will also display the runners up in his offices in DC, Scottsbluff and Grand Island.

The Congressional Arts caucas annually sponsors the competition for high school students in all fifty states, The district of Columbia and US Territories.

All submissions are due February 15th.
