One panhandle business owner says Nebraska needs to step up
it's renewable energy game.
Many new products and ideas were introduced at this year's Farm And Ranch Expo.
Owner of Nebraska Wind and Solar, Larry Cooper, was around
promoting renewable energy.
Cooper is one of many hoping Nebraskans will work harder to
go green.
When it comes to renewable energy, he says Nebraska is
decades behind neighboring states, like Colorado.
Cooper says there is a lot of money to be made but Nebraska
keeps losing jobs to surrounding states.
"We've got the fourth best wind in the country here in Nebraska," says Cooper. "But we're like sixteenth in the nation as far as using it
for wind energy."
Cooper believes Nebraska is heading in the right direction.
