A Scottsbluff man is arrested after trying to steal an ATV from somebody's property.
35-year-old Timothy Trujillo was arrested this weekend after police received a call that somebody was stealing their ATV from a house on Lake Minatare Road.
Members with the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Office were able to apprehend the subject a short while later on. Trujillo said a friend told him about the ATV, and that it was sitting for months at the residence without being used, and was told he could take it.
Trujillo said he took the ATV from the property, and was later confronted by the owner.
He is charged with theft by unlawful taking, as well as an open container citation.
