Alliance welcomes a new superintendent - kotanow.com, KDUH, Scottsbluff, News, Weather and Sports

Dr. Troy Unzicker will serve Alliance as its next Superintendent of Schools.

Unzicker is the current Kimball Superintendent and has served there for the past seven years.

He graduated from Gering High School in 1982.

In the past he's held positions as a teacher in North Loop Scotia and as a secondary principal in Mitchell.

Unzicker says that community involvement and good staff communication are important to him.

Unzicker was recently a finalist for the Gering Superintendent of Schools position.
