A man caught with more than a pound of high grade marijuana and an illegal immigrant caught with cocaine are both set for arraignments today in Scotts Bluff County District Court.
52-year-old Annastasios Blackos was arrested last month and charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute. He was caught with more than a pound of pot during a bust by the WING Drug Task Force.
Also facing arraignment today is 26-year-old Joel "Alejandro" Zamarripa.
On February 3rd, a Scottsbluff Police Officer noticed a red Tahoe speeding on East Overland. Zamarripa, the driver of the vehicle, did not have a driver's license and told the officer he was in the country illegally. The officer found cocaine on Zamarripa while patting him down.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold was put on Zamarripa after his first court appearance.
Both arraignments are set to take place at 1 p.m. in Scotts Bluff County District Court.
