Women throughout KOTA Territory are getting together this weekend to quilt for a good cause.
This weekend is the 20th annual Women's Sewing Weekend. The event, held by Pat's Creative from Hemingford, is one stop shopping for sewing enthusiast.
The event also serves as the last chance to donate blankets to project Linus. A tree of nearly 200 hand–made blankets is featured at the event that will get distributed to sick and traumatized children throughout the panhandle.
Sonya Buskirk, of Pat's Creative says this program really leaves an impact on the community.
"Everybody tells us, the feel of giving one of these blankets to a child who has nothing is just, makes you feel so good inside," says Buskirk.
If you would like to drop off a blanket for the cause, you can do so until noon tomorrow.
