A Mitchell man is dead after a one vehicle accident on Saturday.

46-year-year old Jose Garcia was driving on Spring Creek Road near Mitchell at approximately 4:15 Saturday afternoon.

Investigators say he lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into a utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garcia was the only occupant of the vehicle.
