Spring fever brings locals out to Lied Scottsbluff Public Library

Posted: Updated:

Spring fever is in the air and a KOTA Territory library is kicking off the season early for gardeners.

The Lied Scottsbluff Public Library is teaming up with Chadron State College to help local gardeners.

The school's Public Horticulturalist Lucinda Mays took a road trip to Scottsbluff to share her expertise.

The food gardening seminar is a part of the library's series "Groundbreaking Reads."

Mays says the filled seminar was a good indication of spring fever.

"Here in western Nebraska, if we're going to get anything done we need to collaborate. So Chadron State is collaborating with the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library," Mays said.
