One KOTA Territory school is taking a different approach to increasing its college bound seniors.
Hemingford High School has fewer than 200 students, but Principal Peggy Foster says the school's small student population works to their benefit.
Foster says because of their size, there's a better teacher to student ratio.
This means there's a closer bond between kids and their teachers, Foster says this bond keeps kids from falling through the cracks.
Foster says the sense of community actual helps increase their number of college bound seniors.
"The family type created atmosphere, everyone really looks out for each other, tries to help them along and get that sense of community," Foster said.
Foster says Hemingford is proud to have such a sound educational system for how small their town is.
