I-80 getting new vivid signs installed

You may notice some new colorful signs as you drive on I-80.

The old I-80 signs made in 1971 have faded, making them hard to read.

Kathy McKillip, Tourism Director of Nebraska says the Tourism Commission held focus group meetings across Nebraska, and everyone agreed the signs needed an upgrade.

But Mckillip says repairing the old signs would've been too expensive.

37 new signs will be installed along the 455 mile highway.

The new signs will be up within the next six weeks if weather permits.
