And as the drought lingers, farmers and ranchers from across the panhandle gather together at this years No Till Conference to learn some tricks of the trade.
The annual conference brings ag producers educational support, knowledge and techniques for no tillage cropping.
Sure Crop, a liquid fertilizer company came ready to show off their product.
Justin Judy, the Field Sales Manager says all the vendors have one goal, to help local farmers increase their organic matter.
Judy says putting back into the soil what comes out is beneficial for farmers and ranchers.
"If we can get the soil microbial activity up in our soils, we can basically cut back on our use of foreign fertilizers such as nitrogen, potassium and phosphate that's mined from the ground," Judy said.
Today was the last day of the conference, Judy says there was less people than yesterday, probably because of the snow.
