This year's cattle feed round tables had a special guest sharing her expertise.
Temple Grandin is a Doctor of Animal Science, as well as an Animal Science Professor at Colorado State University.
Grandin is well known for her autism activism, but this week she brought her cattle expertise to help farmers and ranchers.
The Doctor says cattle handling in the past ten years has been better, due to interest in low stress handling methods.
But there's an area that still concerns her as far as the cattle's welfare issues.
"I'm really concerned with heat stress. I've seen heat stress problems, open mouth breathing. Open mouth breathing is not acceptable. You've got to be extremely careful."
Grandin says she hopes she can help some of these farmers and ranchers better their feed yards.
