The Western Nebraska Arts Center wraps up its Image Photography Exhibit this weekend.
The exhibit, which opened earlier this month, showcases work by local photographers.
Arts Center Program Manager, Donna Thompson, says this is a special exhibit because it's open to any photographer in the area who wants to submit their work.
The exhibit has three divisions: one for professional photographers, one for adults and a separate division for participants under age 18.
Thompson says this is a fun event for everyone but that it's especially beneficial for children.
"It's really how they begin, I mean, you never know budding artists and where there going to be in ten, twenty years from now," says Thompson. "To have an opportunity to show in a gallery and learn about how that works and what that's all about is a really neat opportunity for them."
The Arts Center's next exhibit is called Plain Sky Nebraskans and will feature work by Hastings photographer, Brett Erickson.
The exhibit will begin Friday.
