Scottsbluff man arrested for meth

An investigation to a man driving under suspension leads to a possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine charge.

On Friday, an investigator with the Scottsbluff Police Department saw 42-year-old Cleveland Burnett driving near Family Dollar. The investigator knew that his license had been suspended from previous convictions.

The officer pulled him over and patted Burnett down for weapons. During the pat-down investigtors found a methamphetamine pipe, as well as two plastic baggies with a total of 1.9 grams of meth.

Burnett told officers that the drugs were given to him by a friend.

He is charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and driving under suspension.
