26-year-old Lee Weber of Scottsbluff died of an apparent suicide just east of the Avenue I railroad crossing.
The accident occurred shortly after 8:30 Saturday morning. Reports say that Weber was walking towards the ongoing train as it blared its horns and slammed on the brakes.
