Harrison teens honored for being 'Seatbelt Survivors'

Posted: Updated:

Sisters from Harrison are recognized today by the Nebraska State Patrol as ‘seatbelt survivors.'

Katelyn and Kelli Woodrum were struck by a drunk driver on New Years Day this year. Both were wearing a seatbelt, and survived the crash… and only sustained minor injuries.

Trooper Tim Flick with the Nebraska State Patrol presented this sisters with a certificate of appreciation signed by Colonel David Sankey during a ceremony at Sioux County High School.

He says their diligence in buckling up serves a reminder to *all* motorists to use a seatbelt every time.
