A panhandle library is losing materials and asking for the community's help to put a stop to it.
Lied Scottsbluff Public Library's Director Abby Yellman says since last June there's been an increase in people not returning books.
The library uses their computer system to keep track or who them check out.
Yellman says the losses became an issue because other people who want those books can never get them.
She says some people have books years over-due and the library will take them back, no questions asked.
"So we want to make sure we're protecting our materials to the best of our ability and encouraging people that do have things, even if they've had them check out for two years, we'll still take them back no questions asked," Yellman said.
Wednesdays and Saturdays are fine free days at the library.
