Rushville native re-appointed to Nebraska Game and Parks Commission

Posted: Updated:

A Rushville native is re-appointed to the Nebraska Game and Parks Board of Commissioners.

Dr. Kent Forney will once again represent the state's eighth district… which covers Lancaster County.

Forney's focus is getting kids outdoors and providing with the unique experience that only nature and wildlife can provide.

Natural Resources Committee member Tom Carlson interviewed Dr. Forney, and strongly supported his re-appointment.

"It was evident in the confirmation hearing he was very passionate about what Game and Parks Commission does," says Carlson. "He's very concerned about the funding for the Game and Parks Commission."

Dr. Forney received unanimous support from the legislative body, and will once again serve a four- year term.
