County files motion to dismiss lawsuit filed by injured fair queen

Scotts Bluff County looks to have charges filed by a former county fair queen dismissed.

During the 2010 Scotts Bluff County Fair rodeo, Miss Scotts Bluff County Jessica Littlejohn was struck by a bull that escaped from its pen.

A lawsuit filed in district court seeks restitution for nearly $29,000 in medical expenses, in addition to physical pain and mental suffering.

No immediate action was taken today on the county's motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
