Gering golf course restaurant in the works

A panhandle golf course's restaurant has new management and a new look.

The Gering golf course restaurant's new name will be Caddies, and it's getting a makeover to go with its new ownership.

Local businessman Sal Munoz and two unnamed partners will own and operate the restaurant.

The Gering City Council approved the restaurant's request for a liquor license and now the state will have to approve the request.

Munoz says the restaurant should be up and running by April.

Gering City Council approved a plan to invest $100,000 into sprucing up the restaurant.
