Nevada man busted for meth in Cheyenne County

A Nevada man could face jail time after Nebraska State Troopers found methamphetamine in a semi he was hauling.

58-year-old John Longshore of Carson City, NV pled guilty Wednesday in Cheyenne County Court to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Commercial Vehicle. The maximum sentence on those charges would be a combined 15 months in prison.

Initially he was charged with one felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine.

Sentencing has been scheduled for April 22nd at 8:30 a.m.
