U.S. Senator Mike Johanns continues his fight to put a stop to the Affordable Care Act.
This morning, Nebraska's senior senator voted to block funding for the implementation of the president's health care law.
Johanns says as the senate works to create jobs and grow the economy, removing high costs and regulations associated with Obama care is common sense.
He says that many small business owners in Nebraska have told him that they don't expand because of federal red-tape.
"Businesses will tell me they just simply are afraid to grow or can't grow because of what Washington is burdening them with," said Johanns.
Despite Johanns' plea... The amendment did not pass on the senate floor.
The republican says that lawmakers need to do the right thing for healthcare, but Obama-care is not it.
