Midwest Theater hoping for April sell-out concert

Posted: Updated:

The historic Midwest Theater in Scottsbluff is hoping for its first sellout concert in years.

Contemporary pianist Jim Brickman is playing at the theater on Sunday, April 7.

When tickets first went on sale, theater manager Billy Estes said the communities response to this artist was definitely unexpected.

"We sold 100 tickets in the first 45 minutes. We've never had an event like that sell here at the theater, so it was a sign of good omens, I think," explains Estes. "The show has continued to sell well and I'd like to see if we can sell it out now."

About 200 tickets remain for the concert right now.

Estes said the last time the theater had a sell-out crowd was back when the Glenn Miller Orchestra played in 2009.

Tickets for Jim Brickman are 25 dollars and can be purchased by calling 632- 4311 or going to https://tickets.nebraskarts.com/TheatreManager/2/login&event
