Expo shows what 4-H has to offer

Posted: Updated:

4-H groups in the panhandle hope to gain a few new members and show off their hard work.

At the 4-H expo at today members and 4-H volunteers setup crafts, games, and other projects in an effort to help locals learn more about the program.

"We invite kids from the community to come out and learn about what 4-H has to offer and what club might the individual want to join. And then we just have fun together," said Jillane Pike, 4-H Council Vice President.

4-H aims to provide youth with skill building opportunities and encourages leadership in the community.

The 4-H expo is hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln extension center.
4-H is open to youth ages 5 to 18.
