Panhandle residents dust off snow shovels during Spring storm

Posted: Updated:

People in the panhandle had to dig themselves out of their homes this morning, after a heavy snowfall covered streets, sidewalks and driveways.
Ronald Nuff-Warren of Scottsbluff says the first thing that went through his head when he saw the white powder was "Hooray!"

Much like many of his neighbors, he grabbed his snow shovel and spent a good amount of the morning shoveling his driveway.
"As long as no one is pushing me for time to do it, I'm happy with it. I need the exercise," he adds.
The panhandle is in desperate need of moisture and this snow fall should offer some relief to crops.

And while many homeowners might have been annoyed at having to drag out their shovels this morning, Nuff-Warren says he doesn't mind.
"No, and I might do my neighbors across the street too because they're in Monterey, California right now."
