Posted: Updated:

Scottsbluff Police have made an arrest after a 17-year-old boy was shot in the hand shortly after midnight.

Police arrested 19-year-old Anthony Ironbear this morning after a series of interviews stemming from an incident on South Street in Terrytown.

Ironbear was arrested and booked into the Scotts Bluff County jail on charges of 'Firing into an Inhabited Dwelling' and 'Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony'.  Two other subjects were released after providing statements.

The investigation has revealed that at least one previous disturbance involving the same subjects occurred on Erin Lane in Scottsbluff and preceded the Terrytown disturbance.

According to witnesses multiple shots were fired during the disturbance at approximately 12:10 a.m.

Several persons were present in the home located at 80 South Street when the disturbance occurred, including Montell Redbear who received a minor injury to one of his hands.  Other occupants of the home were inside when shots were fired, two of which struck the home.

The suspects were described by Redbear and had reportedly fled the scene in a white vehicle prior to officer's arrival.

Information was shared with other law enforcement agencies in an attempt to locate the suspect vehicle and a Nebraska State Patrol Trooper observed a vehicle matching the description of the subject vehicle as it pulled up to a residence in Minatare, NE.  The occupants of the vehicle and residence in Minatare were contacted and were identified as the suspects described by Redbear.

These subjects were interviewed and provided information about the incident at 80 South Street.  These interviews led to Ironbear's arrest.

A handgun believed to have been used in the crimes was recovered in a yard near the 80 South Street location and ammunition was found in the vehicle stopped in Minatare, NE.

The Scotts Bluff County Attorney's Office, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska State Patrol assisted and the investigation continues.
