Rock N' Roll Classic auto show rolls into town

Posted: Updated:

It's almost time for the annual Fathers Day Rock 'N Roll Classic auto show to roll into town.

Tomorrow kicks off the event with a barbeque, followed by an informal car cruise and an ice - cream social.

Saturday begins with parade down 10th street in downtown Gering.

Then it's off to Five Rocks Amphitheater where all the cars will be on display for everyone to see.

Classic cars, remodeled cars and ultra sleek hot rods, are all rolling into town from across the country.

"People love to tell them about their cars," says High Plains Auto Club Car Show Chairman Jim Spencer.  "So they can come right out there and visit with people if they see a car they like or they had a car like that when they were young. The fellas just love to show them their cars and tell them about them."

The event is free and there will be food stands, drinks and other vendors at the show.
