Johanns opposes current version of Immigration Bill

Posted: Updated:

A KOTA Territory  senator voices his opposition to a revised version of immigration legislation that would *ultimately* offer citizenship to millions.
Today the senate advanced historic legislation for immigration reform. Senator Mike Johanns says as it stands, there are many flaws in the proposal.

The Republican has sponsored or co-sponsored amendments to tighten up the legislation.
"I wanted to point out that yesterday I introduced two amendments to help strengthen current employment verification systems," says Johanns,  "And provide a more accurate picture of the long term costs of the immigration legislation."
A major portion of this bill would use billions of dollars to improve border security.
Speaker John Boehner says the house is not going to vote on this legislation until *he's certain* it will win majority support among House Republicans.
