Driver falls asleep, loses cargo of beef and alcohol

A Monday morning accident causes a truck driver to lose his cargo of beef and alcohol.

The Nebraska State Patrol responded to an accident just west of Fort Robinson shortly before 6 a.m. Monday. 

They say 55- year - old William Craven of Minnesota was driving westbound on Highway 20 in a semi loaded with beef and alcohol.

Craven fell asleep behind the wheel and the semi went into a ravine and rolled.

The semi was totaled, and the load was a total loss.

There is no report if restraints were in use or if the driver was seriously injured.
