Sidney Public Library and Nebraska DOL partner to help people find jobs

The Sidney Public Library and the Nebraska Department of Labor have teamed up to help people in KOTA Territory with job assistance.
Representatives from the Nebraska Department of Labor set-up shop in the Sidney Library each week to help locals with job hunting and resume building.

The Labor Department has been partnering with the library since the department's Sidney office closed late last year.

Nebraska Department of Labor Regional Manager Pat Comfort says the transition to the library is a good alternative for job seekers, because of the many resources available there.
"We really want people to know even though we don't have a brick and mortar, we are going to serve them to the best of our abilities whether that be through technology, computers, telephone, things like that or having people come up and actually be physically present from time to time."
A representative from the Nebraska Department of Labor is usually available for job assistance at the library on Wednesday mornings.
